Councilmember Derek Green is determined to renew faith in our city’s government by working towards bold, long-term solutions, and is working around the clock to deliver long-awaited change to Philadelphia. Just in 2022, Derek has:

• spearheaded the passage of a number of key bills from his Civics Agenda, which will make voting easier leading up to November’s midterm election;
• introduced common-sense gun control legislation that requires the reporting of body armor sales, which will close a loophole in sales of non-registered high capacity weapons;
• reduced taxes for working families and small business through his budget proposal which was enacted by the Philadelphia City Council; and
• improved the inspection process within our schools to combat a long-standing asbestos contamination issue and ensure the health and safety of our children.

Derek is also committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot! He is working to elevate the platforms of candidates who have proven their dedication to protecting and expanding our civil liberties.
