BPC's Latest Work

Over the last few years, state legislatures and county commissions have become places where major immigration issues are being debated. In the latest episode of This Week in Immigration, Theresa Cardinal Brown, BPC's director of immigration and cross-border policy, sits down with the chairs of the Immigration Task Forces of the National Association of Counties to discuss why its important that federal lawmakers hear from state and local officials when it comes to immigration policy.

 

For the first time since World War I, deaths from preventable diseases in the United States have decreased life expectancy for three consecutive years. In his new book, Prevention First: Policymaking For a Healthier America, Dr. Anand Parekh, BPC's chief medical advisor, argues that the only way to reduce preventable diseases is if the nation makes it it's top priority.
