Hi there,

Before Special Olympics, Mackenzie felt like an outcast. That she didn’t have any friends. She always dreamed of making connections where she felt a little less alone.

Then she found Special Olympics and her whole life changed. She finally found a sense of belonging, where she didn’t have to act a certain way just to fit in.

From fitness captain to global youth ambassador, Mackenzie took that new-found confidence in herself, spread her wings and became a trusted leader within her Special Olympics Colorado community. That’s why we think she is a perfect example of a 🏅Champion of Inclusion🏅.

Why does inclusion matter? Because for young people with intellectual disabilities like Mackenzie, it’s the chance to be accepted, often for the very first time.

When we work together we have the power to ensure everyone is included and we can all be 🏅Champion of Inclusion🏅. Join us as we create a better, more hopeful world! Sign the Inclusion Pledge:
