Hey,
Have you seen the latest images released by NASA? Their Webb Telescope team was able to capture the deepest and sharpest image of the universe we’ve ever seen, a truly historic achievement. Congratulations to the entire team — including Arkansas’ own Dr. Amber Straughn — on this major accomplishment. As a proud NASA alum myself, I can only imagine the excitement the Webb team must be feeling.
I geeked out the moment I saw that photo. It reminded me of that moment I decided to be an astronaut as a kid growing up in Pine Bluff, how I dreamed of seeing a picture like that one up close and personal once I got older. Those were some big dreams that I worked towards, and I want our children to have that same opportunity to dream just as big, if not even bigger.
The key? We’ve got to spread our PB&J across the entire state to ensure the kinds of educational opportunities afforded to me as a child are more readily available and widespread to all of our youth. And by expanding Preschool to all our families, providing affordable Broadband for every home, and creating high wage Jobs for our workers, we’re making it possible for the next generation to advance even more exciting new technologies, and see even brighter stars. You never know — the next Dr. Straughn could be in our classrooms today.
We’re on the cusp of a historic achievement of our own, and if we win this campaign, I will make our children’s future my top mission. Help us win this governor’s race by making your first $25 contribution right away.
Let’s go!
