Republican Indiana AG Todd Rokita is investigating a doctor who legally provided an abortion to a 10-year-old girl after she was assaulted in Ohio. That came only hours after his Republican counterpart in Ohio, AG Dave Yost, accused the 10-year-old of lying.
Dave Yost must be voted out of office. He even said there “was not a shred of evidence,” to support the 10-year-old victim’s story, while defending Ohio’s abortion ban that has zero exceptions for rape or incest. He said this right before an arrest was made in the case — and he has refused to apologize even after he was proven wrong.
This November, we have to fight back. Recently, DAGA endorsed pro-reproductive rights state Representative Jeff Crossman for Ohio’s next Attorney General. He’s an attorney with a history of protecting access to reproductive care, combating crime and corruption, and fighting for Ohio families. He’s going to take on Ohio’s abortion ban with zero exceptions for rape and incest. To put it simply: We need more AGs like Jeff Crossman in office.
This is a tragic example of Republican extremism and its real-world impact on innocent people. There’s no justice in intimidating doctors and victims and there’s no morality in stopping rape victims from getting an abortion — but that’s who Republican Attorneys General are in 2022.
