Senator Elizabeth Warren and I just introduced a bill that would make filing your taxes free and easy.

Filing your taxes has become such a cumbersome and expensive process because corporate special interests have successfully lobbied and cornered the market. Instead of using a third party system, we should allow the IRS to develop its own free and easy filing system.

We all have to pay taxes (I’m also working to make sure billionaires and multinational corporations pay their fair share), but the filing process doesn’t need to be this complicated and expensive.
