July 13th, 2022 – As the clock struck 7:00 AM early Wednesday morning,15 Amazon warehouse workers walked out of the DTG5 Amazon fulfillment center in Doraville, Georgia just halfway through their Prime Day shift. Workers exited the facility in protest of management disregarding a petition signed by 60 warehouse employees demanding a $3 wage increase, more paid time off (PTO), and extended break time.

RSVP for Atlanta DSA's monthly General Meeting! We will hear the latest from our chapter's campaigns and committees, discuss current events in the chapter, and debate and vote on a resolution about the 2022 midterms. All members are encouraged to attend!
There will also be a special election held to fill a vacancy on the Steering Committee. All members in good standing are welcome to nominate themselves for chapter office. There will be a Candidate Forum this Thursday, 7/21 at 7:00. You can find election rules and details, including the Initial Candidate Bulletin and RSVP links for the Candidate Forum and General Meeting, on the Member Portal. Join us Saturday, July 30th at Cabbagetown Park for a day of outreach to support the Atlanta City Abortion Fund resolution, which would allocate $300,000 in funds to pay travel and medical expenses for Atlantans seeking abortion care. We'll be reaching out to people on the Beltline and knocking doors in the Cabbagetown area. We'll also be sharing abortion resources and information.
