John –

Over the weekend, I attended a vigil for 6-year-old Blessings McLurain-Gray, the victim of a tragic car chase that ended with a homicide suspect crashing into the vehicle Blessings was riding in. It is awful to keep seeing children lives’ lost as a result of violent crime in our communities.

As a father of three, these heartbreaking incidents are always difficult to process. As a leader, they further fuel me to do all that I can to stop the rise in violent crime.

If you haven’t yet, I encourage you to take a look at my P3 plan for public safety. It will be a top priority to prosecute violent crime and bring suspects to justice before they can do anymore harm to our communities.

County leadership must work in partnership with law enforcement, community members and other local agencies to build a stronger public safety system. I will help close gaps in trust and communication that allow violent crime to go unaddressed and I am ready to work with leaders across the county to stop the rising crime we're seeing in neighborhoods each day.

We cannot keep losing children to senseless crime. Add your name here to show us you're ready for a county attorney who will hold violent offenders accountable.

Sincerely,
Ryan
