I won’t lie: running for office in the post-Trump era requires a thick skin. I served in the Navy for 20 years, and I consider myself pretty tough. But there are moments when the mud-slinging takes a toll.

Then I remember the GOP is spending millions to fund my opponent, Jen Kiggans, to take back the House majority and fulfill their radical agenda.

No matter how hard they attack me, my number one priority is defending our democracy from those who want to undermine it.
