Rep. Liz Cheney, who consistently blames her Congressional schedule for her inability to visit Wyoming, was a no-show on two key votes in the House of Representatives last week. The House passed the “Women’s Health Protection Act” and the “Ensuring Access to Abortion Act” with mostly Democratic support. On each vote, Cheney was nowhere to be found and was recorded as “not voting” on final passage of both bills.
Harriet Hageman, Republican candidate for the House, today issued the following statement:
“Wyoming is very aware that we have no one in the House standing up for us, because Liz Cheney is consumed by her personal war with President Trump and is doing Nancy Pelosi’s dirty work on the January 6th Committee. But now she can’t even show up to do her job and vote on important issues, even though that’s why she says she can’t visit Wyoming. This is a perfect example of why we are fed up with Liz Cheney. We only have one House member in Wyoming, and we have to get it right. When I’m the next congresswoman from Wyoming, I will always stand up for our values and I will never forget who hired me for the job.”
