Friends,

Education is the key to a prosperous future -- for individuals and for our country as a whole. That’s why higher education must be accessible and affordable.

But the level of student debt is soaring in America today -- often a burden that weighs on students for decades.

The federal government broke its promise to forgive student loans for those who spent at least a decade serving the public. So I recently led a bipartisan coalition of 21 attorneys general to file a brief supporting the teachers, policemen, non-profit workers, and others who are challenging the federal government’s failure.

I believe that government is about protecting people and providing opportunity -- not breaking its promises or limiting public servants' futures. If you agree, please click here to sign a petition supporting the brief we filed.

Student loans should not be a barrier to success, especially for those who have spent their careers in public service.

I am inspired by these men and women and angered that our federal government would fail to deliver on such an important promise.

Together,

Josh
