In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a donation to my campaign against Chuck Grassley and help me protect our Democratic Senate majority. But before I do, let me explain why your donation to turn Iowa’s Senate seat blue is so important right now.

I am a hard target for a GOP attack ad. I was born and raised in rural northwest Iowa, and I served our country for nearly 4 decades in the U.S. Navy. From enlisting on scholarship in college to retiring as a three-star Admiral, none of that matters because the GOP’s Super PACs are drumming up misleading ads and even attacking my service.

In my last election, Super PACs spent millions of dollars against me. And this time, Mitch McConnell and his billionaire buddies are raising even more to spin lying tales about me on TVs all across Iowa.

There’s one reason: Mitch McConnell is alarmed because I’m the guy who can defeat Chuck Grassley and turn Iowa blue. I’m it. And if I do win, Democrats will hold onto our Democratic majority in the Senate.

Iowa was one of the closest Senate races in 2020, and polling from the Des Moines Register shows a paltry 27% of Iowa voters want to reelect Grassley.

I’m happy for the fight ahead, but I’m not taking money from corporate PACs. Instead, I’m counting on grassroots donors like you to give now if we’re going to win and turn Iowa blue. We’re less than 48 hours away from our critical fundraising deadline, and right now we’re still very short of our $75,000 goal. So I have to ask:

Please, will you give $5, $25, or whatever you can afford right now – before our critical fundraising deadline at midnight tomorrow – to help me defeat Chuck Grassley and protect our Democratic Senate majority?
