Governors are now the last line of defense for civil rights and women's rights. Maryland must be a beacon and a leader. And to do it, we have to have the right leader.

When I led the Civil Rights Division at the Justice Department, I protected a woman’s right to choose, and we prosecuted extremists who bombed clinics and murdered doctors.

As governor, I'll work to pass a Constitutional amendment to further guarantee abortion access, because anyone should be able to receive the care they need and deserve. And I’ll ensure Maryland defends any provider sued by another state for providing services to people coming here to seek care.
