Thank you to everyone who took part in two Days of Action across the ward in May.
Supported by staff from a number of different services, homes in Sneinton were checked for fire safety measures, checks of private rented properties were carried out by council selective licensing staff and a health event took place at the Dales Library, including an opportunity for people to get their latest Covid vaccination.
Plus, we joined in with the Big Nottingham Spring Clean by having a clean up, including five litter picks in just over 24 hours!
Thanks to the children from Edale Rise Primary School who joined in with two of them.
Money has now been secured from the âLevelling upâ fund for improvements to a few roads in Bakersfield and Sneinton.
The traffic calming work on Parkdale Road which will be installed in September will be supplemented by much needed resurfacing of the whole road.
Highcliffe Road in Sneinton will also be resurfaced along with measures to enhance pedestrian safety in the area.
It was good to attend local events to celebrate the Queenâs Platinum Jubilee including the lighting of one of four beacons in the city at Greenâs Mill in Sneinton.
Other events at the mill over the weekend added to street parties and an open day event at the Baitful Hafeez Mosque in Bakersfield.
