Well, we knew this would be bad. We all watched Donald Trump try to stage a coup to stop the 2020 election certification, and we knew he stood by as a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol.

But we didn’t know just how much Trump pulled the strings behind the scenes.

What we’re learning in the Jan. 6th hearings is about as appalling as it gets. Not only has Trump shown himself to be an egomaniacal wannabe autocrat, the world now knows that he will stop at nothing -- even essentially condoning the injury and deaths of Capitol Police officers -- to get what he wants.

And what he wants is a second term in the Oval Office.

While we’re focused on congressional hearings, he’s laying out a very clear pathway to get that second term. He’s chosen secretary of state candidates in the key battleground states he lost in 2020 -- extreme candidates who will be in his pocket and ready to do his bidding when it comes time to count the 2024 votes. Should he need to “find” more votes in Michigan or Nevada in order to secure a win, these cronies are going to find a way to do it.

This is his master plan -- it’s open, it’s clear, and it’s working.

I started The American SOS Project because this scares the crap out of me. I saw the writing on the wall, and I decided I couldn’t sit this out.
