John,
This isn’t the email I was hoping to send on a Sunday night, but we’re running out of time, and this can’t wait.
I just got an update from my campaign fundraising team, and with about 24 hours to go to tomorrow night’s public fundraising deadline, we’re still more than 2,000 individual contributions short of our goal.
July is always a tough month for fundraising, but we’re dangerously behind right now, and our window of opportunity to get back on track is closing rapidly.
We’re in one of the closest governor’s races in the country, so every inch of our report will be scrutinized when it’s made public. If we miss our target tomorrow night and look vulnerable, we might never regain our momentum.
John, this is a make-or-break moment, and I’m counting on you. Can you chip in for the first time this year to help us make up the difference? Anything (even $1) counts!
Thank you,
Tim Walz

Prepared and paid for by Tim Walz for Governor
Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan have overcome unprecedented challenges to provide historic investments in education, create new, good-paying jobs, and increase access to health care. And with your help, they can defeat their extremist Republican opponents and continue to move our state forward, as one Minnesota. Can you pitch in $5 now to help them stop extremism and keep Minnesota in DFL hands?
