[1]Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate

Hi John —
Last week’s FEC filings showed our record-breaking campaign outraised
every single candidate in this U.S. Senate race — Republican and Democrat.

We’ve spent the last year working hard to put this race on the map, and
now public polling shows not only are we in the lead for our August 2nd
primary — we’re also the only Democrat that can beat Eric Greitens and
flip this seat. For other Democrats, it’s not even close.

[ [link removed] ]LATEST GENERAL ELECTION POLLING: Eric Greitens (R) leads Lucas Kunce
(D) by <1% — The Trafalgar Group | March 2022. Eric Greitens (R) leads
Trudy Busch Valentine (D) by +9% — Remington Research | April 2022. Margin
of error for both polls is +/- 3%.

While all the data shows we’ve built a people-powered movement that’s on
track to win this primary and flip this U.S. Senate seat in November, it
shows something else to our top primary opponent, billionaire heiress
Trudy Busch Valentine: Despite giving her campaign $2 million from her
family fortune, she’s losing.

But yesterday, we learned how she took the news: She just wrote herself a
$1 million check to try and buy the Democratic nomination in the final 2
weeks of our primary.

[ [link removed] ]So John,
today I’m asking for your help. We can’t afford to waste our chance at
flipping this U.S. Senate seat — we need a campaign and a candidate that
can win in November. Can I count on you to rush a donation of
$10 so we can keep our lead and win this race?

After seeing the Senate filibuster stand in the way of action on abortion
rights, voting rights, investment in renewable energy, the PRO Act, and so
much more progress, I think it matters how you raise your money. That’s
why we’ve built a grassroots movement here in Missouri.

Real people have chipped in more than 120,000 individual donations, with
support coming from every single county in Missouri. 98% under $200. And
$0 from corporate PACs, federal lobbyists, Big Pharma execs, and fossil
fuel execs.

Here’s how that stacks us up with Democrats running for Senate across the
country:

[ [link removed] ]List of fundraising totals + small dollar percentages from U.S. Senate
candidates across the country in Q2 2022. Lucas Kunce is at the top of the
list with 54.93% of small-dollar donations. Trudy Busch Valentine is at
the bottom of the list at 2.27%, just above Alex Lasry, Kyrsten Sinema and
Joe Manchin.

We’re in good company. In the final weeks of this primary, we have ads up
on TV, hundreds of volunteers knocking doors and making calls, and I’ll
continue traveling to every corner of the state. We’ve built a campaign
that can flip this U.S. Senate seat, end the filibuster, and fundamentally
change who has power in our country.

[ [link removed] ]But if we’re going to hold our lead and make it through this primary, I
need your help now more than ever before in this race. So please — rush a
donation of any amount today so we can win this primary and take this seat
back for everyday people:

I’m a kid from a working-class neighborhood in mid-Missouri. We didn’t
have much growing up. My parents struggled to pay the bills and when my
little sister was born with a heart condition, we went bankrupt. Maxed-out
credit cards, without a dollar to our name, we relied on my neighbors to
help us make it through. Black and white, young and old, we all took care
of each other. That’s where I come from.

I’m running for U.S. Senate to put people like that in charge of our
country — real people who put their communities first — because we’ve seen
how things turn out when billionaires and corrupt politicians call the
shots.

And I’m not afraid to ask for help. Real people helped my family make it
through when I was growing up. And a people-powered movement is the only
way we can win this race. I’m not relying on a family fortune. I’m not
relying on corporate PACs or dark money billionaires. I’m relying on real
people like you.

Together, we’re going to fundamentally change who has power in our country
— starting right here in Missouri.

Thank you,

Lucas
