11 million barrels
According to the August 2022 OPEC+ agreement, Saudi Arabia’s production target for next month is over 11 million barrels per day. President Biden has urged Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to raise oil output for months; however, any increase is likely to be modest.

20 hubs
The Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) program aims to accelerate the use of clean hydrogen. 20 of the 22 proposed hubs focus on oil refining, steel production, or chemical applications. These industries currently account for the majority of hydrogen demand.

2,800 meters
New satellite imagery shows North Korea is making gradual progress with its renovation and expansion project at the Sunchon Airbase in Pyongan-namdo. The new extended runway has a total length of 2,800 meters and can accommodate more heavily ladened or larger aircraft.

$4.9 billion
Canada announced it would invest $4.9 billion (U.S. dollars) over the next six years to create a new Northern Approaches Surveillance system of two over-the-horizon radars and a network of classified sensors.
