The Senate filibuster has stood in the way of progress for decades. And now, once again, it stands in the way of millions of people and their reproductive freedom, including their right to access abortion care.
Far-right justices on the Supreme Court have decimated the long-standing precedent protecting our reproductive freedom and privacy. And now, far-right senators are standing in the way of passing legislation that would enshrine the rights provided in Roe v. Wade in federal law.
It’s despicable behavior that jeopardizes the lives and well-being of millions.
A majority of voters approve of codifying reproductive freedom and yet elected officials are ignoring this mandate and exploiting an archaic Senate procedure.
We cannot let them win.
