This week, I was honored to be recognized by the Virginia League of Conservation Voters for earning a 100% on the 2022 scorecard. 

Virginia has the opportunity to lead the region on critical environmental policies, to address the concerns of the climate catastrophes that face us, and to ensure that we protect precious natural resources for future generations. But under Youngkin’s leadership, our Commonwealth continues to lose rank across critical industries.

Communities across Virginia rely on RGGI to help prepare for flood resilience. Low-income households rely on RGGI to become more energy-efficient. And everyone relies on RGGI to hold powerplants accountable by limiting the amount of carbon pollution they expel.

Addressing the climate catastrophe is a collective effort: we must each commit to protecting our environment, safeguarding our natural resources, and seeking a healthier, greener future. 

That’s my promise to you: that I will always stand up for Virginians by working to reduce carbon emissions, protecting communities from the threat of flooding, shoring up coastal resiliency programs, and addressing the concerns of environmental justice.
