We're Going to the Ballot to Fight the Anti-Housing Supervisors
|
Over the past month SF YIMBY has rallied our members to speak up for more housing: Cars to Casas bill, fourplexes bill, the Housing Element, and Affordable Homes Now ballot measure. Unfortunately, the Board of Supervisors has delayed, watered down, blocked, and obstructed housing at every turn. Cars to Casas has been delayed in committee. The fourplex bill passed in a counterproductive form that won't build new housing. Supervisors are in collective denial on the Housing Element. And now they are trying to undercut the YIMBY, Mayor, and labor-backed Affordable Homes Now measure.

We can't wait for more delays while the Supervisors dither and obstruct. We are going to the ballot to get more homes passed, and we are starting our endorsement process to identify and campaign hard for pro-housing candidates.
