Let's be real here: the definition of treason is literally "the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign." Trump's anti-democratic, white-supremacist mob of supporters violently charged the Capitol grounds with the clear purpose of stopping the certification of a free and fair election to reinstall him as president. They were even willing to murder Vice President Pence or anyone else who got in the way. If that isn't treason, then nothing is.
