Statement From Luna Campaign on Latest Loaded Poll from Failing Grade Democrat Pollster
SAINT PETERSBURG, FL – Today, a local media outlet published a loaded poll from a failing grade Democrat pollster in an attempt to resurrect Biden Democrat Eric Lynn's failing campaign in Florida's 13th Congressional District.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
* The poll claims a 2-point lead for Democrat Eric Lynn but releases no information about the percentage/number of Republicans vs. Democrats vs. Independents surveyed. (failing to release the accompanying election turnout model is a common tactic with "narrative-setting" polls, which political consultants use to lie to the media and donors)
* Democrat nominee Eric Lynn's own poll ([link removed]) has Luna in a 9-point lead over him at the end of June. (according to published internal polling from the Lynn campaign)
* Florida's new 13th Congressional voted for President Trump by nearly 7-points in 2020 and has a Republican voter registration advantage of over 31,000 and growing.
* The failing pollster is a partisan democrat firm that called just 33% of races right even according ([link removed]) to Nate Silver / FiveThirtyEight (a democrat and one of the foremost public polling aggregators)
STATE OF THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY:
* A GOP primary poll conducted by the Republican Party of Florida last week for debate qualification purposes shows Luna with a 20-point lead ([link removed]) over Kevin Hayslett (37%-17%), despite his relentless false attacks on her. Amanda Makki has just 10%. Politico noted Luna's lead is by far the biggest lead of any of Florida's 4 GOP primaries in open seats.
* Luna's current 20-point lead is consistent with APL campaign internal polls published on June 15th ([link removed]) and April 6th ([link removed]) . Both showed Luna leading by at least 20-points. (all detailed data was released)
* Club for Growth Action, which endorsed Anna Paulina Luna, began a $1.8 million saturation ad buy this week on broadcast TV, cable, and radio with ads supporting Luna. The Club is booked to run through election day (August 23rd). By comparison, Hayslett has just $201k of total ad time reserved with just over five weeks before election day. (according to public ad tracking reports).
* Both published APL campaign internal polls showed Luna's lead grows to over 40 points when voters are informed that President Trump has endorsed her.
* The current Club ads focus on promoting Anna Paulina Luna and President Trump's support for her. Reminder: the polling shows that Luna leads by over 40-points when voters learn about the Trump endorsement (the TV ad can be seen on their YouTube ([link removed]) channel)
CAMPAIGN STATEMENT:
Anna Paulina Luna's lead campaign strategist James Blair commented on Lynn's loaded poll today via Twitter ([link removed]) , saying:
This "poll" refuses to disclose its partisan splits because it's a fake poll. (The) Pollster has called 33% of races correctly, according to Nate Silver/538. The District went Trump +7 points in 2022. Anna Paulina is going to stomp Eric Lynn. Even his poll shows her +9.
