We're excited to announce that on Monday (December 9th) @ 9am CT, WallBuilders will be releasing a limited quantity of ORIGINAL Aitken Bible pages accompanied with a reprint of the Aitken Bible!

Because of a British law, America was not allowed to print Bibles in the English language--they had to be imported from England. But that changed when America finally became independent from Britain. So In January 1781, Robert Aitken (the official printer for the Continentla Congress) petitioned Congress for permission to print an English-language Bible on his presses in America. Congress appointed a committee, comprised of Founding Fathers James Duane, Thomas McKean, and John Witherspoon, to review his Bible. In September 1782, the committee (and the two congressional chaplains) reported back to Congress their full approval of this work. Congress then issued a ringing endorsement which was printed in the front of that Bible (which became known as the "Aitken Bible" or "the Bible of the Revolution").

Of the 10,000 of these Bibles originally printed, only a handful remain intact today. Some were so damaged that only pages remain, so to own a page from this rare Bible is an amazing opportunity! A single page often sells for hundreds, as does a reprint of that Bible. We are offering an opportunity to own both: a modern reprint and an original page.
