John, I knew from long before I entered this race that running for Congress wouldn’t be easy. But in my family, we take on the toughest challenges and go the extra mile in service to our country - I firmly believe that America deserves all we can give. I’m running for office not because it’s an easy way to make a difference, but precisely because it is a difficult, worthwhile way to serve.
Before I share more, I need to ask for your support for our campaign. We are just 24 days away from our primary election, and we’re at risk of falling behind in this competitive race. That’s why I set a goal of raising $40,000 in our final four weeks. Please, click here to donate $25 or anything that works for you so we can win next month and take on the GOP in November >>> [[link removed]]

John, I’m no stranger to going above and beyond when it comes to serving our nation. Early in my Army career, I signed up for airborne training because I wanted to be deployable to our nation’s toughest assignments. I was the only woman in my class of 140 soldiers — and when it was time for the first jump out of the plane, the sergeants placed me first in line to lead.
When I had the option of serving in Japan or on the Demilitarized Zone in Korea, I didn’t choose the “safer” place. Being a woman on the DMZ wasn’t easy, but the 2nd Infantry Unit on the DMZ was where the Army needed me.
My father, Al Baldus, my husband, Kevin, and our son, Daniel, and I all served in that same Army unit - the 2nd Infantry Division - on the DMZ. We went above and beyond to serve where needed. My father was awarded the Bronze Star for valor in the Korean Conflict. Kevin was a Special Forces (Green Beret) Army Ranger. Daniel is an Army Ranger Airborne Sapper. And I earned Airborne wings.
Then, following the horrific events of 9/11, I knew I had to step up to serve again. I joined the CIA as a direct consequence of the attacks, where I worked in covert operations in some of the world’s most hostile environments and conflict zones.
Throughout my life, I continued to further my education so I could empower others and lead strategically. At the U.S. Army War College, I was a Distinguished Graduate. And I was often the only woman in a class of men.
John, running for Congress may not require me to work undercover, carry a glock, or jump out of planes, but it presents challenges of its own. Still, I relish the opportunity to do what I can to deliver real leadership and real results for my hometown community.
Ours is one of the most competitive House races in the nation, and the Republican House campaign arm is already targeting WI-03 as a pick-up opportunity. If we’re going to succeed in holding this district for Democrats, we ALL have to join together and be ready to do whatever it takes.
Right now, I need you to contribute $25 (or any amount that’s right for you) to help hit our $40,000 pre-primary fundraising goal. We can’t run a winning campaign if our fundraising falls short. Click here to rush in a contribution right away >>> [[link removed]]
