Governor Gordon Welcomes Expanded, In-State Suicide Lifeline Coverage
Governor Gordon *announced this week* [ [link removed] ] that the state?s suicide lifeline services have been expanded and improved to offer full-time, Wyoming-based coverage 24 hours a day, every day. The expanded coverage was a goal of the Governor's, and he?asked the Legislature to fund the effort during the 2022 legislative session.?
"We are confident that the personal connection and the ability to make localized referrals for help will be improved when Wyoming folks can speak to an understanding person in their own state,? the Governor said.?
Gas and Diesel Price Working Group Holds First Meeting
The Governor's Gas and Diesel Price Working Group had its first of two meetings on July 15. The group heard presentations on federal and state fuel taxes; oil and gas production in Wyoming; and market forces influencing the cost of fuel, including refining capacity.
"The input that we receive from this group will be critical as we explore possible options to provide relief to Wyoming citizens," Governor Gordon said. A second meeting will take place July 22.?
Wyoming Is Fully Engaged In Yellowstone Reopening, Governor Says?

Governor Gordon, along with Wyoming Senators John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis, joined Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Cam Sholly last week for a review of the impacts of the recent flood event. The Governor celebrated the work that was done to reopen the park so quickly, and pledged that the state would remain fully engaged in the effort to welcome visitors back and support Wyoming's tourism economy.?
Governor and First Lady Celebrate Independence Day Around the State

The Governor and First Lady spent the holiday weekend visiting several Wyoming communities, celebrating the Fourth of July helping grill hot dogs at Gillette's Annual Fourth of July Community Celebration. The Governor also attended the Cody Stampede parade, Lander Pioneer Days parade and the Saratoga Days celebration over the long weekend.?
