John –
As a Marine veteran, Jared made a promise to always look out for Maine’s veterans and ensure that they have someone fighting for them in Congress.
But right now, Washington bureaucrats — through a process called the AIR Commission — are quietly recommending the closure of VA facilities across rural Maine, including in Houlton, Fort Kent, and Rumford. Closing these facilities would put health care further out of reach for Maine veterans, forcing them to drive even further than they already do for VA care.
Jared has made veterans a top priority in Congress, which is why last week he introduced a bipartisan bill to eliminate the AIR Commission before it has the chance to act on misguided recommendations to close VA health care facilities.
Do you support Jared’s efforts to support Maine veterans by preventing the closure of VA facilities in rural communities here in Maine and across the country?
