This isn't the email we were hoping to send this morning, but it's one that we have to.

Yesterday, Ed reached out about our mid-month fundraising drive and how we were falling off pace to hit our July fundraising goals.

Well, we fell short of where we needed to get to — and so we have to ask:

Can you make a contribution — of $3 or anything you can — to help us close the gap and get back on track for the second half of July?

See, each month, we sit down and run a projection of how much money we can expect to raise, and more importantly, how many contributions make up that amount.

These goals aren't arbitrary — they're not picked out of a hat. They're numbers we need to hit if we're going to continue building power for our progressive movement in Washington and all across the country.

Every donation adds up, even $3 at a time. Even when our opponents and their lobbyist friends are lining up against us. Because we have what they don't: Each other.

So please:
