Consumer Prices Jump Sharply Again in June
The Consumer Price Index rose 9.1 percent from a year ago, a new record high. Essentials such as food, rent, and gasoline are among the categories that recorded the biggest increases, further squeezing Americans’ budgets.
George’s Statement:
“Over a dozen CPI reports have been released since Biden entered the office and each one is worse than the other. 18 months into this circus of an administration and the American people are being denied a comprehensive and common-sense-based plan of action to tackle the inflation crisis. Rather, Biden’s teleprompter continues to feed us lies that we are headed toward a historic recovery and booming economy. The President may lie but numbers do not: U.S. consumer prices are indefinitely surging with the largest annual increase in more than four decades. Stubbornly high costs for basic living expenses like gas, food and rent, are cementing the case for another 75-basis-point interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve. We have had enough! November is our time to let the Democrats know their reign on our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness has ended!”
