Summer is here, John.

When I was growing up, summer was my favorite season of the year. It's a time for BBQs and picnics, hiking the great outdoors, and hitting the beaches.

But now, the summer is bringing climate change-driven extreme weather events that will only worsen if we do not act now.

Last year, we were hit with a Nor'easter, deadly flooding, hurricanes, and tornadoes. We are not alone. Extreme weather events have been hitting every corner of the country – from heat domes to wildfires to drought.

We're all witnessing the growing climate catastrophe in real-time.

That's why I've made it a top priority to fight for bold climate action in Congress, John.

We can't just be reactive to severe weather events. We need to be proactive when it comes to tackling climate change.

Future generations are counting on us. We can't let them down.
