​​In these nightmarish weeks since the Supreme Court ended Roe, millions of you have mobilized across the country to demand aggressive, immediate action to defend our reproductive freedom -- and we are grateful to our champions in the Congressional Progressive Caucus who have answered the call. They just announced their executive and legislative plan to expand abortion access since the Supreme Court’s ruling, and they led the charge to put the Women’s Health Protection Act up for vote in the House for a second time, which they successfully passed today by a narrow margin. 

MAGA Republicans know this bill will not make it through the Senate as long as the filibuster remains in place, but inaction from the Progressive bloc is simply unacceptable. With the GOP holding the future of Roe hostage and threatening access to contraception, marriage equality, and more, we must take action to expand our majorities in November, codify Roe and other fundamental rights, and then expand the Supreme Court to protect ourselves from the extremist justices who are putting us all at risk.

Here’s how you can join the fight:

• Sign up to mobilize for the midterms, contact voters, and Give No Ground in 2022. It’s our job to make sure the GOP's constituents know about their wildly unpopular positions and that they are held accountable in November. Sign up to help defeat Republicans and protect pro-choice Democrats in some of the most crucial seats in these midterm elections. These members of Congress have fought for us, and now it’s time for us to fight for them.
• Click here to call your senator and demand they pass the Markey Court Expansion Bill. Even as Democrats work to expand our rights, the threat of them being overturned by the Supreme Court looms large. We must expand the court after Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell conspired to pack it for generations to come.
• Sign up to support court expansion at Four More. We've launched a new website about the need for court expansion with our partners at Stand Up America, Take Back the Court, and Demand Justice. • Give to your local abortion fund. Local abortion funds will be a major source of relief for folks seeking an abortion right now. Instead of sending donations based on eye-catching subject lines, be certain you’re taking pains to ensure your money goes to local efforts in places that will hurt the most under this new ruling. If you can, find an abortion fund near you and donate.

As painful and heart-wrenching as these last few weeks have been, we are as determined as ever to fight back. Time and time again, activists have held each other through moments of despair, joined hands, and then we got to work. We’ve beaten impossible odds before. We’ll do it again, together.
