During this campaign, I’ve had the privilege to speak with Angelenos from all walks of life. No matter who I talk to, I hear similar sentiments again and again: we love this city and will do anything to create a bright future for the coming generations.

Team, Los Angeles has called me home, and I am ready to serve. And the fact is, I am the only Democrat in this race with clear-cut goals and plans to create a safer, greener, more affordable Los Angeles.

As mayor, I will lead the city’s efforts to address our homelessness and affordable housing crises with urgency, compassion, and care. ​​We will work to improve public safety by expanding job programs and social services. We'll prioritize climate justice so we can ensure clean air and water — especially in communities suffering most from pollution — reduce the cost of energy bills, and create new jobs.

My competitor has made some lofty promises but failed to detail his plans to make them happen. At the same time, he's already invested over $40 million of his own money into his campaign, which is likely to double by November.
