Today, Barbara and her colleagues in the House passed the Women’s Health Protection Act once again.

House Democrats are making their unwavering commitment to protecting reproductive care and privacy for millions clear.

But despite our vote, the bill is most likely going to be blocked by Senate Republicans using the filibuster.

As long as the Senate allows the filibuster to inhibit our progress, we cannot pass this bill into law.

Our work can’t end here. That’s why Barbara is leading the fight to carve out the filibuster to produce the votes necessary to enshrine reproductive rights — and abolish the filibuster for good.

Any legislative solution to the Supreme Court’s egregious decision to overturn Roe v. Wade that fails to address the filibuster is unserious.
