I wanted to keep you updated about what’s going on in the Senate in the fight to protect reproductive health care.
Just yesterday, the Senate voted on legislation I co-sponsored that would protect doctors and health care providers in pro-choice states like Washington from criminal prosecution if they provide care to patients from anti-choice states.
But Republicans blocked the legislation.
In case it isn’t clear – this is proof that the GOP wants a total ban on abortion.
Our razor-thin Democratic Senate majority is simply not enough to stop them – which is why we must expand our Senate majority by flipping states like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Ohio.

Americans must have the right to make reproductive health decisions about their own bodies. We cannot allow conservative lawmakers to criminalize health care and scare doctors and providers on the front lines of this fight.
We must protect the constitutional right to privacy and the reproductive rights of millions of Americans.
I will continue to do everything I can to protect our right to privacy and choice – but I need a pro-choice majority at my side.
