At midnight, we’ll hit our first mid-month fundraising deadline of the new FEC quarter.
This deadline comes as Senate Republicans are eyeing the Senate majority after the November elections. Shady McConnell-aligned dark money groups have already spent tens of millions of dollars attacking Democrats in battleground states like Arizona and Georgia.
These attacks rile up their pro-Trump, pro-Big Lie, anti-democratic base. They’re propping up candidates that spread dangerous lies, and who are actively campaigning on out-of-touch proposals like a nationwide ban on abortions. Their main goal? Stoke fear and make YOU feel like we can’t win this November.
It’s time for a reality check.
Election experts are calling the Senate majority a “toss-up,” meaning it’s anyone’s game at this point. This was how people were talking about the Senate two short years ago. But it was because of this very team that we won in 2020, flipping the Senate and removing Donald Trump from office. We defied the odds, the seemingly endless amounts of dark money attacking us, and voted in record numbers for change and progress.
As Paul Wellstone said, “politics isn’t about big money or power games; it’s about improving people’s lives.” That’s exactly what I’m focused on, john.
I’m working to abolish the filibuster so we can codify Roe v. Wade into law and build on our progress to stop gun violence. I’m working to lower costs for Minnesota families, from the gas pump to the grocery store. I’m working to make Minnesota even more of a leader in clean energy and move us toward net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. And I’m not stopping anytime soon.
