John,

Last month, the Supreme Court issued a dangerous decision in West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency: The Court curbed the EPA’s ability to regulate climate pollution from power plants under the Clean Air Act.

In its ruling, the radical conservative supermajority again ignored decades of precedent and embraced far-right ideology, drastically limiting federal agencies’ power to regulate as Congress intended. This opinion now joins a running list of decisions that have revoked constitutional rights and endangered public health and safety.

It’s time to fight back. As the radical Court continues to push corporate interests and eliminate vital tools in the fight against climate change, it’s time for President Biden to act. Biden has the power to declare a climate emergency today. He must do so.

Urge President Biden to declare a climate emergency now!

CLIMATE ACTION NOW!

We no longer have the luxury of time when it comes to fighting climate change. West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency underscores our urgent need for federal action. That’s why we’re gearing up and mobilizing across the country to demand the Biden administration use its authority to:

-- Declare a national climate emergency
-- Halt the approval of new fossil fuel projects
-- Launch a just, equitable renewable energy revolution

President Biden must do everything he can to prevent the Supreme Court from standing in the way of a liveable future. He can follow the science and use the executive branch tools at his disposal to fight for the communities most impacted by pollution and climate disasters. But he won’t unless he hears this message loud and clear: The era of fossil fuels is over and we need urgent climate action now!

Send a message to President Biden demanding urgent climate action now!
