Hi John,
Some great news! We are upgrading Event Campaigns to make them easier to set up and more intuitive for activists to take action. This work is a key part of our focus on improving user experiences across the Action Network system.
This upgrade will:
- Allow potential RSVPs to filter for events that are virtual or in person, events that are this weekend, or events in a specific zip code
- Redesign the zip code page to include a list view of events (great for shift events or virtual events)
- Give you the option to turn the map on or off when you create the event campaign
Our goal is to launch the new design without interrupting any live Event Campaigns, which means we are maintaining the current version of Event Campaigns to make the transition smooth. If you aren't heavily customizing Action Network page wrappers or embed codes, you shouldn't have any issues. If you do any customization we recommend that you test, test, test to make sure it's a smooth transition to the new design. Read up on how and when the new version will be implemented and what you can look for on your end to make sure the new look works seamlessly with your embedded forms.
We're planning to deploy this feature as early as next week, sign up to receive our deploy emails here (and make sure your team is signed up too!)
Take care,
Mari Vangen
