Hi there,
I’m reaching out to give you a quick report on our campaign progress now that we’re less than two months away from the Iowa caucuses.
The race is fluid, people aren't tied to their candidate choices, and many things can happen over the next 58 days. We need to work hard and work together in order to win. We can do it, but we have to earn it. Before I dive into our report on fundraising, organizing, and paid media, will you chip in $5 to help us sustain this work? Thank you.
First, on fundraising:
This is an update I’m excited to provide: We are now just 200,000 contributions away from two million total contributions this year.
This is a remarkable number for our campaign. At the start of 2019, we didn’t know if we would get the 65,000 donors required to qualify for the first Democratic debate.
So while this is substantial for us, we’re a bit behind our competitors. One competitor is on pace to hit five million this year, and another hit the two million mark earlier this quarter.
We’re within striking distance, and we’re running a very competitive program, but we need to catch up. We need to hit two million donations by the end of the year.
So today, I’m launching a goal to reach 50,000 donations by Monday night. Can you make your first contribution right now to help us reach it?
Hitting this goal is the single most important thing we can do together as Team Pete. The funds we raise in the month of December will impact every decision we make next year.

Now, onto organizing -- the most important work we do:
Because of the donations from supporters like you, we’ve been able to staff organizing teams on the ground across Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina. And we’re looking past those early states, too. 90% of the congressional districts in Super Tuesday states (places with primary contests on March 3rd) have mobilized volunteer teams, and those volunteer teams have already collected tens of thousands of signatures to help get Pete on the ballot in states across the country.
And quickly on media -- another important way we reach voters:
We’ve already invested millions of dollars to reach undecided voters through paid media. Our digital messaging program is one of the most robust of the primary candidates, and we’re running television ads in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
We will continue to do this, and we’ll keep you posted on the progress. We know that in order to keep growing our support, we have to reach as many voters as possible, and we have to reach voters everywhere at many different points in their day.
We have a long way to go until the caucuses and the contests that follow into the spring of 2020, but hitting 50,000 donations by Monday will put us on a solid path. If you can, please contribute today.
Thank you,
Mike
