What can you do with $2.57?
Our campaign can do a lot with $2.57. This amount gets us one signature closer to making the primary ballot.
On January 21st, our army of volunteers and supporters will hit the streets collecting the 20,000 signatures we need to make the primary ballot. Here in Colorado, there are two ways a candidate can make the ballot:
- Go through the caucus process where the primary candidates need to earn 30% of the delegate vote in order to make the ballot,
- Or, by petitioning on. We have chosen to petition onto the ballot because we feel it is far more representative of the state’s voters. A candidate will make the ballot if they collect at least 1,500 signatures from registered democrats in each congressional district (Colorado has 7).
When we can prove to the establishment that our campaign has built the field infrastructure to accomplish this feat that most are afraid of, we will show that we have what it takes to win this election.
This election will not be won on name recognition only, but on the coalitions built of likely, unlikely, and new voters; and that is exactly what our campaign is doing. We are motivating those who have given up on our democracy, those who have never participated in political campaigns, and those who have been pushed to the margins, because these are the voters we need to beat Cory Gardner and put people first.
Help us get on the ballot by sponsoring 1, 10, 100 signatures today!
We can't do this without you!
In solidarity,
Lorena
