With thousands of hours per week collectively taken up by fundraising, I recently introduced legislation to prohibit members of Congress from raising money during working hours when the House is in session. And yet our system of legalized corruption not only incentivizes them to do so, it demands it.
I am trying to prove that we can do things differently, but it's not easy. My opponent will be funded by the very special interests that are standing in the way of progress in Washington – and he doesn't care where his money comes from. In fact, his first contribution from a national PAC was from the "America Reloaded" PAC. Just disgusting.
That's why I need you on my side.
