Hi there, John -- this grassroots team is important to me, so I wanted to take a minute to give you a quick update on what I’ve been up to in the U.S. Senate. But before I get into specifics, I have to ask: Will you contribute a few dollars today to help me continue my work?

Here’s the latest:

In the past few weeks, we got a bipartisan gun safety bill to the president’s desk. I’m especially pleased that the legislation includes a provision to close the boyfriend loophole -- something I’ve been working on (and that the NRA has been trying to stop) for a decade.

Additionally, I helped lead the effort to pass the Ocean Shipping Reform Act to crack down on unfair practices hurting American businesses and driving up prices for consumers. I’ve also been working to overhaul our antitrust laws so we can help small businesses, prevent shortages, increase competition and lower consumer costs.

It’s been busy, but it’s rewarding to see progress made on issues that make life better for the American people. At the same time, there’s much more work to do -- including defending the right to reproductive choice by codifying Roe v. Wade into law. Support from people like you make this work possible, so, if you’re able, I hope you’ll donate today.
