John, our democracy is teetering.

Today’s Republican Party has proven that they will put party over country at every opportunity. Partisan gerrymandering has given the GOP outsized power at every level of government. Now, the Supreme Court is set to hear a case that could allow state legislatures to decide the outcome of our presidential elections. In states like ours, with GOP-controlled legislatures, that would be a disaster.

I believe that this democracy must be saved, and the only thing that can save it is for each of us to do our part.
