LePage is taking notes from DeSantis’s Florida playbook.

John,

Paul LePage might be running for governor of Maine, but he can’t stay away from Florida.

LePage first moved to Florida in 2019, taking his taxpayer-funded pension with him. Even after he moved back to Maine to try and run for governor again, LePage has been making regular trips back to his second home to fundraise and hang out with Republican buddies.

If Paul LePage likes Florida so much, he should just stay there — there’s no place for LePage’s extreme right-wing agenda in Maine, and we need to keep him out of office. Will you help us send LePage packing with a donation of $5?

LePage’s most recent Florida journey wasn’t just to say hello to his second home state — he flew down to support his extremist ally: Ron DeSantis. Just last year, LePage called DeSantis a “gold standard” governor…. as DeSantis repeatedly targeted LGBTQ+ youth in Florida.

Now, DeSantis is pushing for a complete abortion ban, with no exceptions for rape or incest. And Paul LePage was still more than happy to fly down to Florida and share cigars with him.

LePage is taking notes from DeSantis’s Florida playbook to bring the same right-wing extremism back to Maine. He wants Mainers to think he’s different this time around, but we can’t tell the difference: still anti-abortion, still intolerant of LGBTQ+ Mainers, still no plans to help working families. Pitch in now to our mid-month goal to stop LePage.

Thank you,

Gaetan Davis
