BBP Northern Nevada has a new face!
Hi Friend,

My name is Amber Falgout and I'm excited to begin my journey as the
Northern Nevada Manager for Battle Born Progress! My role  will help the
organization do even more work on crucial issues like immigration, gun
violence prevention, healthcare access, and education in Reno, Sparks,
Carson City & beyond!

For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in politics and
legislation. My main drive to do this work came from my past experience as
a single mother. That experience showed me so much about our healthcare
system, the pervasiveness of poverty, and the importance of education. I
realized very quickly that I wanted to work on improving my community so
other people did not have to go through the same struggles I have gone
through.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Nevada Reno with two
bachelor’s degrees, I started working in voter contact in an effort to
persuade and motivate voters on issues like healthcare and education
during the 2016 Election. One of my favorite projects came during the 2017
Nevada Legislative Session, where I worked to help defeat the horrid
voucher scheme that would have defunded Nevada's public schools and
siphoned it to private institutions.

I am so thrilled to represent Battle Born Progress here in Northern
Nevada! This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with
community leaders, activists, and members. Through our work together, I am
hopeful that we will continue to make our state better for all Nevadans.
If you're in the North, and ready to join the fight to hold our elected
leaders accountable on the issues that matter, I'd love to meet you.
Please feel free to reach out to me, and let's get to work!

Sincerely,

Amber Falgout
Northern Nevada Manager

P.S. The vote whether or not to confirm Lawrence VanDyke to the 9th
Circuit Court is likely happening this week! If you haven't [ [link removed] ]signed the
petition to let Senator Cortez Masto and Senator Rosen know you stand with
them in voting 'NO', now is the time!
