Yikes!

This week, Axios reported that a reactionary right wing group staffed by former Trump officials is launching more than $2 million’s worth of ads on social media, TV, and newspapers, targeting House Democrats.

And this isn’t the first time. Per The Hill, they spent $1 million earlier this year on their first round of ads -- and it drove over 34,000 calls into congressional offices.

We know as well as they do that calls are effective, which is why Indivisibles are making hundreds of calls every day. But we’re hearing from allies on the Hill that they’re receiving more calls against impeachment than for it, likely the result of this big Republican investment in calls. To keep the impeachment fight alive, we absolutely must drive more calls -- ASAP.

To support those calls, we’re building tools, writing policy resources, and creating videos and ads to ensure Indivisibles are empowered and informed -- and all of those things cost money (more detail below). In fact, we’ve budgeted $82,500 to support our House impeachment work!

With the GOP’s ads already live and their callers outpacing ours, there’s no time to waste before we respond. That’s why we’re asking for your help today: make a $10 donation right now to fund our impeachment call resources, ad campaigns, and all our other work.

We’ve got a lot of plans in action to make sure every member of the House knows it’s their job to impeach Trump. Here are just a few of the ways we’re working to get our message out to members of Congress:

• Our own ad campaign -- We’re spending $55,000 to run digital ads in congressional districts across the country, generating thousands of calls to show key Republicans that their constituents demand impeachment.
  
  
• Up-to-date policy resources -- Our policy team continually updates our guide to impeachment to make sure activists understand the process and have the latest, most relevant information, and we’ve budgeted $18,500 to help them do that. Our Director of Democracy Policy, Meagan Hatcher-Mays, also records Impeachment Daily to help Indivisibles keep on top of the latest news.
  
  
• Organizing nationwide -- We’re hosting impeachnow.org, a one-stop hub for events and toolkits on impeachment, and spending $9,000 a month to keep it all live. And our organizers are on the ground across the country, working every day with group leaders to maximize their impact.

All this work -- and more, as news continues to break about the Trump administration’s crimes -- is critical to countering the right wing’s big spending push and making sure Congress protects our democracy.

Unlike the groups we’re up against, we’re not funded by dark money and huge corporate checks. We’re funded by real people, we work for real people, and our tools are built to empower real people. That means we can’t make any of our work happen without you.
