For decades national parks like Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and Yosemite have been low-cost getaways for people of all generations to enjoy. But this holiday season, Trump is trying to privatize and commercialize our National Parks.
If this plan is approved, it would raise rates for senior citizens for park entrance and allow food trucks and Amazon deliveries at tourist campsites. We can’t let this happen.
The good news: Trump’s plan hasn’t been approved yet. Together we can show the groundswell of opposition to the privatization of our parks and pressure the National Parks Service to change course. But we must act fast!

What does "privatizing national parks" really mean? The short answer, it means our parks will never be the same.
The long answer -- it means handing our parks over to corporations so they can make money off of food trucks and online shopping. Imagine going on vacation with your family to see the Grand Canyon -- and at the same time, seeing Amazon’s trucks all over this iconic wild place.
It means higher entry fees for everyone. It means gutting senior citizen discounts. It means prioritizing corporate profits over conservation. And it means richer special interests!
Since day 1, the Trump Administration has worked to gut protections for our national parks and wild places. But with this latest proposal, the administration is closer than ever to achieving its goal.

When the Trump Administration proposed raising park fees for a few of our most beautiful national parks, engaged Friends of the Earth members like you, John, spoke up and blocked this disastrous plan. Now we need your help again!
Instead of selling off our public lands, the Trump Administration wants to turn them into “profit centers” for giant corporations like Amazon. And it’s shutting out folks who may live on fixed incomes and working families.
This rule change certainly isn’t Trump’s first giveaway to the rich and wealthy, but it’s certainly one of the most sinister. We can’t allow this administration to force senior citizens and families to further line the pockets of the wealthy. And we need you with us if we’re going to stop the plan in its tracks!
