I wanted to reach out right away. Right now, our state legislators are planning to enact a total abortion ban in South Carolina with NO exceptions in the case of rape, incest, or the woman’s life being in danger.
Instead of progress, we are moving backwards. And my MAGA opponent, Nancy Mace, supports our state legislators getting to decide what South Carolinians do with their bodies. Her response to Roe being overturned? Not pushing the state to protect abortion rights or Congress to codify Roe into law, but building a website for pregnant people.
As a doctor, I can tell you just how dangerous this push to limit reproductive healthcare is — it’s life or death. A website won't help.
We need a leader who will protect our rights, not cut them down. We have to win in districts like this one to expand our majority and protect our reproductive healthcare.
