Over 400 Emerge alums will be on the ballot in the crucial November elections, with more to come as primary season continues. That means hundreds of strong Democratic women are already fighting back against the devastating attacks on our essential rights – voting rights, abortion rights, the right to clean air, and more.

Subject: we can't say this enough: we need MORE women in office


John: The decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was made out of step with most of the country and by the members of an extreme Supreme Court, most of whom were nominated by presidents who lost the popular vote. That’s not real representation. That’s minority rule.

Real representation is Democratic women from all walks of life, communities, and cultures speaking up in the halls of power and making decisions that protect and expand our rights – not strip them away. So at this critical moment when so many of our rights are under attack, we MUST elect Democratic women at every level of government to fight back. 

Here’s the good news: There is no shortage of powerhouse women ready to run for office. In fact, more women are stepping up every day – and they’re counting on Emerge’s programs to provide the tools, tactics, and support they need to win.
