Register for our upcoming annual Advocacy Days and pressure our government to stand against Israel's human rights violations Dear Email, President Biden is keen to differentiate himself from former president Trump in everything except in his complicity with Israel and continued unequivocal support for its aggression and ongoing violations of human rights and international law. Upon his arrival in Tel Aviv last Wednesday, Biden announced, “the connection between the Israeli people and the American people is bone deep.” As the world condemns Israel as an apartheid state, Biden declared “We’ve reaffirmed the unshakable commitment of the United States to Israel’s security, including partnering with Israel on the most cutting-edge defense systems in the world.” Biden continues to dismiss Israel's criminal policies against the Palestinians, including the extra-judicial killing, displacement, ethnic cleansing, siege, and building illegal settlements on Palestinian lands. He is also going back on his false promise to the tens of millions of Americans who elected him that he would restore America's moral authority. As if that weren’t enough, he proudly boasts about his administration's efforts to fortify Israel's human rights violations by integrating it into the region economically and militarily. He’s carrying on Trump's push for the normalization of Israel in the region, alongside some repressive Arab regimes, through the so-called Abrahamic accords at the expense of Palestinian rights. He seeks a wicked alliance between despots and war criminals at the expense of oppressed peoples. Although the picture may seem grim, the public narrative has begun to shift. A recent public opinion poll by the Pew Research Center found that Americans' favorable opinion of Israel as a country is rapidly declining and has fallen to 55%. Israel is also increasingly becoming a partisan and a generational issue within the U.S. While Republicans, those who identify as conservatives, and Americans over the age of 65 maintain positive attitudes toward Israel, a majority of Democrats and young people view Israel unfavorably. This means that our awareness campaigns on Palestine are working. Our advocacy and lobbying efforts on behalf of the Palestinian rights are gaining traction and paying off. This is not a time to despair, but a time to maximize our efforts. There will be no change in the misguided U.S. policy towards Palestinian rights and the Israeli occupation unless there is a radical change in American public opinion and elected officials begin to face the consequences of their false promises and immoral double standards when people cast their votes. For this reason, we invite you to participate in our Virtual Palestine Advocacy Days (VPAD2022) in September to lobby our elected officials on behalf of the oppressed Palestinian people. We must continue placing pressure on our government to do the right thing by firmly standing against Israel's countless human rights violations. Click here to register, for FREE, now! |
