It’s Moira, Valerie’s Finance Director. A big part of my job is keeping track of our budget and ensuring our campaign has the resources we need to get Valerie elected in November.

Unfortunately, July has started off pretty slow for our campaign. It’s not uncommon for campaigns to have a “summer slowdown” in fundraising, but it’s no less concerning.

If we raise $3,000 by midnight tomorrow we will be back on track. That’s why I’m reaching out today. Could you pitch in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help get us back on track for July?

I have my weekly update call with Valerie this afternoon, and this is not the update I want to give. But, I know what this team is capable of. If everyone reading this email pitched in just $5, we’d be back on track in no time. We really need your help, John, so we can continue to make the investments necessary to get Valerie elected in November.
